timodufner at LPM 2026

From October 22–25, I joined the 27th edition of LPM – Live Performers Meeting in Rome, representing das Shiningalongside fellow artists and collaborators. Four days filled with audiovisual experiments, spontaneous encounters and an inspiring international community.

I presented two very different performances.

With KLONK, I explored generative minimalism, glitch aesthetics and polyrhythmic structures. Electronic sounds and real-time visuals interacted in an evolving audiovisual system, balancing algorithmic processes, improvisation and controlled chaos.

For In trouble times, some new shapes could emerge from the ruins, I collaborated with Katia Vonna Beltran, combining electronic sound synthesis with her experimental low-tech live cinema. Found objects, analogue techniques and shifting electronic textures became part of a constantly evolving dialogue between sound and image.

Beyond the scheduled programme, LPM once again demonstrated the value of spontaneous collaboration. When several musicians were unable to perform, I stepped in for additional live sets, turning unexpected gaps into opportunities for musical experimentation. Together with the das Shining crew, we also supported other artists and their technical setups.

What makes LPM special is precisely this openness: artists sharing their knowledge, equipment and ideas, creating connections that extend far beyond the stage.

Four intense days, many unexpected moments and plenty of new inspiration.

Thanks to the LPM team and everyone involved!
