Two Live Performances at LPM 2026 Rome

From October 22 to 25, Rome hosts the 27th edition of LPM – Live Performers Meeting, an international gathering dedicated to audiovisual performance, live cinema, generative art and experimental technologies. Taking place at the MAM – Media Art Museum and Brancaleone, the festival brings together artists from around the world for four days of performances, installations, workshops and creative exchange.

I’m excited to contribute two audiovisual performances to this year’s programme.

KLONK

Friday, October 23 | 18:00 | MAM Immersive Room

KLONK explores the space between generative minimalism, glitch and rhythmic complexity. Polyrhythmic structures, electronic sounds and machine learning collide with real-time visuals, creating an audiovisual system in constant transformation. Algorithms, improvisation and controlled accidents blur the boundaries between composition and emergence.

In trouble times, some new shapes could emerge from the ruins

An improvised audiovisual dialogue between analogue synthesis and low-tech live cinema. While Katia Vonna Beltran transforms found objects, recycled materials and fragments of visual memory into unstable landscapes, electronic sounds evolve through shifting pulses, textures and resonances.

Neither image nor sound simply illustrates the other. Both interact, resist and reshape one another, exploring the creative potential of disruption, reuse and transformation.

Two different approaches to live audiovisual art, united by improvisation, experimentation and the unpredictable relationship between sound and image.
